This photograph speaks of nature, of promises, of sky and earth and the basics of life. Grape leaves reach up to the sky, stretching out to meet the clouds and the rainbow, promises of another harvest, another season. A recent storm has nourished the woody vines, deep-rooted, timeworn but abundant. They were created to offer up their fruit, pruned year in and year out by skilled hands to exploit them for their finest harvest. The fruit of the vine is promised—wine from the vines is promised. What better way to remind us of hope, constancy and faithfulness? Stay well and happy everyone!
